Hello!
I'm Louise, a graphic designer and art director. I founded Sydney-based design studio, Mathematics, in 1999.
I have worked across a diverse range of industries, specialising in design for the music industry and book publishing plus branding for start-ups, arts and government organisations.
I work across a wide range of design mediums, including print, web, animation and social media.
My collaborative and approachable nature ensure I am aligned with my clients' vision and values.
Over the last two decades I have delivered creative solutions for hundreds of major projects, including music festival branding for Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, as well as award-winning book designs for million-copy selling titles and album cover artwork for ARIA, Grammy, and Logie award-winning artists.
I bring a hands-on approach to everything I do. Whether I'm art directing a creative campaign, channeling my attention to detail to create and implement brand guidelines, or designing websites alongside developers, I’m a stickler for the details, like making sure a logo is placed exactly where it should be – it matters!
I love making and integrating illustrations, hand-drawn typography and manual techniques into my work and I'm continually updating my skills as technology evolves.
In addition to my design practice, I have helped mentor and launch the successful careers of many designers, artists, and producers.
I work from my sunny studio in Sydney's Inner West. In my spare time I can be found enjoying live music, visiting art galleries with my partner and teenage daughter, or walking our Cobberdog, Lottie.
